A washed Colombia (the variety, that is) from Elias Roa & Bellanid Sanchez’ ‘Finca Tamana’ in El Pital, Huila, Colombia. According to Mr. Wendelboe, the difference with this particular Colombia lot is picking the cherries closer to a purple colour - thanks to the extra ripeness of the cherries, the herbal sensations of the variety are more subdued, and the rich fruitiness comes through much clearer. This is easily one of the most consistent coffees in our rotation, regularly shining with a berry sweetness and excellent balance, this time with a complex and lingering aftertaste with a winey acidity, alongside some passionfruit brightness.
