The coffee so nice, we bought it twice!
Alongside our offering from NOMAD, we're also pleased to be offering Friedhats' roast of Bombe from Ethiopia. This washing station is owned by Daye Bensa who this year have produced each of our favourite Ethiopian coffees. Thanks to the extremely high altitude of this growing area, the cups are incredibly complex, with very clear flavours. In this lot, we found an incredibly distinct flavour that reminded us of strawberry milk!
Friedhats is a Dutch micro-roastery founded by four-time Dutch Barista Champion Lex Wenneker and Dylan Sedgwick. We think they put their mission best - "we only want to sell coffee that tastes great, consistently and with transparency and honesty", sourcing coffees based on flavour and constantly striving to be more accessible and sustainable.
We find our coffees taste best 4 to 6 weeks after their roast date, and you can enjoy delicious cups for up to 3 months after roast. We recommend storing all coffees in an airtight container.
