A washed processed ‘semi-forest’ heirloom lot from Kawo Kamin in the Sheka Forest in Ethiopia. Please read below for the backstory, it's really interesting! This lot showcases the unique growing conditions, presenting wild floral aromatics and a rich and acidic flavour profile. We found a very complex cup, with flavours of kiwi, papaya, florals and citrus.

La Cabra was founded by Esben Piper, and they roast bright, seasonal lots in Copenhagen, Denmark 🐐✨ This coffee was roasted on 31.11.22.

This coffee is 250g. We recommend drinking it 3 to 12 weeks after roast, and storing in an airtight container.

Due to incentives to expand agriculture in Ethiopia, farmers have found their way into the relatively untouched SNNPR region of Ethiopia. Here, the coffee was grown in the rich, biodiverse Sheka Forest, hence the term ‘semi-forest’. Kawo Kamin have only ever produced naturals and experimental lots before, so for this coffee to be produced as a washed lot meant using a small hand crank to depulp, before drying carefully on raised beds over 17 days.
