An advanced natural Bourbon Rojo from Jhoan Vergara’s ‘Las Flores’ in Pitalito, Huila, Colombia. Cata Export were founded in 2019, and in 2020 received a special commendation from the President of Colombia for their efforts, winning ‘Best Colombian Coffee Exporter of the Year’. This particular variety is listed as ‘Bourbon Rojo’ - a slight mutation of Red Bourbon that more closely resembles Ombligon - leading to a more vivid and wild complexity in the cup. We tasted a super funky profile reminding us of guava, candy, dark chocolate whilst hot and it cooled toward a pudding, pannacotta, berry and cacao situation!
