A washed Pacamara from Arturo Aguirre Escobar’s El Injerto in Huehuetenango, Guatemala. El Injerto has won Cup of Excellence seven times over the past 20 years - a remarkable feat! They have even done this many times with their Pacamara variety, just like this lot here. We suspect it's got to do with this coffee having an outstanding high clarity of flavour, that classic Pacamara wineyness and body, despite being so contradictorally delicate. We were reminded of jasmine, mandarin juice, papaya, green tea, stewed apples, and bitter orange as it cooled, with a heavy and raspberry oriented aftertaste. Very cool, very high quality Paca' here!
