A perennial favourite of ours here at BEDST HQ, we eagerly await La Cabras drop of this funky and expressive San Juan variety from Cafe Granja La Esperanza in Cauca, Colombia. San Juan is a varitety first observed as a spontaneous hybrid on Potosí, which is the original farm at CGLE. We love the relationship between roaster and producer here, and every year we get to experience a cup that shows how either side gets to know each other so well: ripe blackberries lead, as per usual, surrounded by deep juicy plums and dark chocolate. As it cools, tropical fruits emerge leading toward raspberry and mango. This is a ripe, wild and funky coffee!
