The first time we featured Flower Child in what feels like a lifetime ago we shared this coffee. I liked it a lot then, enjoying it more as it rested - but this feels like a completely different iteration of what was such a memorable coffee. This time our team found a marmalade and cherry richness whilst hot, I found peach, blackcurrant, textural shimmering florals. Second pass I was reminded of pineapple, spice, apricot with a terrific complex texture and aftertaste - such a unique and delicious Ethiopian for 2k25.
Flower Child was founded by Prestin Yoder and they roast in Oakland, California. This coffee was roasted on 25.8.2025.
This coffee is 250g. We recommend drinking it 4 to 13 weeks after roast, and storing in an airtight container, and aiming for higher extractions while brewing. (See our Brew Guides for more info!)
