A washed Chiroso from Victor Pineda’s ‘La Cenovia’ in Caicedo, Antioquia, Colombia. Caicedo has only recently managed to start to make life easier for it’s residents who live in violence, conflict and strife. Thanks to the high altitude of the region, we’re seeing some of these extremely dense and complex coffees popping out, and we think this is a real benchmark for what a high quality Chiroso can do! We tasted mango tea alongside crisp red berries, with an incredible texture and clarity, perfectly balanced. On the second pass we found a haribo peach lolly vibe alongside a tealike quality to the mouthfeel - just a succinct and clean, expressive and complex, truly remarkable Chiroso.
Flower Child was founded by Prestin Yoder and they roast in Oakland, California. This coffee was roasted on 25.8.2025.
This coffee is 250g. We recommend drinking it 4 to 13 weeks after roast, and storing in an airtight container, and aiming for higher extractions while brewing. (See our Brew Guides for more info!)
