A washed blend of Kenyan varieties from the Gathaithi Cooperative Wet Mill in Nyeri, Kenya. Central Nyeri is a competitive area for wet mills, who take in cherries from smallholder farmers from the region. But Gathaithi has been a familiar name for me in my years in specialty coffee, and a mill that I'm always happy to have some coffees from. In this lot we found a sweet juicy and lightly floral cup, reminding us of apple, red tea, citrus and cherry in a buttery and crisp cup!
Koppi was founded by former Swedish Barista and Brewers Cup Champion, Anne Lunell and Charles Nystrand, and they roast in Helsingborg, Sweden. This coffee was roasted between 2.5.2024
This coffee is 250g. We recommend drinking it 3 to 12 weeks after roast, and storing in an airtight container.
