Mexico alert! We're pleased to share our first ever Pink Bourbon from Rogelio Santiz' farm in Cerro Perico, Oaxaca, Mexico. The Pink B variety is a complex and misunderstood creature, one that goes by many names and identities, I myself am more than guilty of saying in my most insufferable way "um, actually it's an Ethiopian coffee", but how the hell should I know? Do I look like a botanist? I just read the info sheets from exporters and coffee articles on Perfect Daily Grind just like everyone else. This coffee gave us a soft and understated expression whilst hot, leading with a gentle raspberry and jersey caramel sweetness, before opening up to a juicy and sweet profile of orange poppyseed cake, lemon and pineapple!
